Players will encounter Partly Corrupted enemies throughout the world who drop Malignant Hearts, and these can be captured with the Cage of Binding item acquired from the season's quest. Upon using the Cage of Binding on a Malignant Heart, the Partly Corrupted enemy will transform into a powerful Fully Corrupted enemy.
Once the Fully Corrupted enemy has been defeated, they'll drop a special Malignant Heart that can be placed in Infested jewelry sockets. Malignant Hearts come in four different categories such as Devious or Brutal, and players can tell which kind of Malignant Heart an enemy will drop based on the Affixes of the Corrupted enemy. This removes some of the guesswork for players farming a specific Malignant Heart.
These gems are exceptionally powerful, and Blizzard has stated that players will be able to put together some potentially game-breaking builds by using them creatively. One example was a Malignant Heart that would store all damage dealt to an enemy for 2.5 seconds before exploding and hitting nearby enemies with the built-up damage.
Over the course of the season, the creatures and subsequently the hearts they drop will grow more powerful, encouraging continued participation in the content. In addition to the new Malignant Heart gems, six new Unique Items and seven Legendary Aspects will be arriving with the season.
Malignant Tunnel Dungeons
Season of the Malignant also features a new set of dungeons for Diablo4 known as Malignant Tunnels. These are intended to be shorter dungeons than usual and are somewhere between a standard dungeon and a cellar in length. These are particularly good locations for farming Malignant Hearts, and they aren't affected by the Nightmare system.
They also aren't simple reskins of existing dungeons, so players won't end up revisiting the exact same locations as before. It's within these tunnels that players can encounter Varshan the Consumed, the season's primary boss. Few details have been revealed ahead of the season's release, but it is known that Varshan will become increasingly more powerful as the season progresses.
A Diablo 4 player has pointed out that World Tiers 3 and 4 in the game are now level capped. Apparently, this information was also excluded from the Diablo 4 Season 4 patch released yesterday, which has left many fans disappointed.
World Tiers in Diablo 4 allow players to scale up the difficulty in the game to get improved loot, XP, and gold. When the game launched last month, players had to finish the campaign and scale up to level 50 to access the Capstone dungeon for World Tier 3. Once the players got access to Tier 3, a quest marker showed up for the World Tier 4 Capstone dungeon almost instantly, which players could complete directly after level 50. However, it seems that players have to be a certain level to Diablo 4 Gold access a higher World Tier now following the release of the Diablo 4 Patch 1.1.0a, which the community isn't really happy about.
Diablo 4 Dev Comments on Aberrant Cinder Drop Rate Change
In a post on the Diablo 4 subreddit, user Meryhathor posted a forums link that said players cannot enter Tier 3 without being level 50, and Tier 4 required them to be level 70. However, user the-true-steel commented that this information wasn't fully accurate. With the help of a streamer's VOD, they explained how completing the Capstone dungeon for Tier 3 at level 37 restricted the streamer from accessing it, but it worked when they tried to do the same at level 40. Another user commented saying that the Tier 4 Capstone dungeon shows up as a priority quest when the player scales up to level 60.
Most of the players in the comments seemed to agree that level 40 and 60 are the level requirements for progressing World Tiers, but many were still enraged by Blizzard's decision to do so. While this solved one problem for Blizzard where players could farm Tier 4 XP and loot at lower levels by getting higher level players to carry them, the latest patch reduced the XP gains from enemies at lower World Tiers in Diablo 4. For instance, the monster levels will always trail the player's level by 5 until the Tier 3 monster level 70 is reached. This means that players will now have to grind even more to reach higher Tiers, which wasn't the case before Season 4.
Apart from this change, Blizzard also made several other changes that didn't sit well with fans. For instance, while making big changes to certain gameplay mechanics, players' existing gear and weapons in Diablo 4 were also secretly nerfed. Additionally, Sorcerer mains were unhappy with the latest Unique weapon for the class, which seems to not be very useful according to many. Thankfully, Blizzard has mentioned that it is evaluating player feedback and will address the concerns in a Diablo IV Gold for sale Campfire Chat on July 21.
Diablo 4 is being review bombed again, this time by fans of the game who are upset about the changes made in the recent update. Diablo 4 earned acclaim from critics when it first launched, but hardcore fans have had a dicier relationship with the action-RPG. This led to the game being review bombed on review aggregate site Metacritic shortly after launch, with disgruntled fans dragging its user score down considerably.
